Making Room Building Campaign

 2
“Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
Do not spare;  Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes.   3 For you shall expand to
the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the
desolate cities inhabited.  (Isaiah 54:2-3 NKJV)

  Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why do we need another campaign?

A: There are three reasons.  First, the Making Room Capital Campaign allows those who were not able to participate in the previous campaign to be included in the building project.  Second, costs are higher than anticipated, and we are required to bring our current building up to code.  Third, we did not meet our projected goal from our previous campaign.

Q: Why do we need to build?

A:  We need to make room in key areas for children, teens, and adults, as well as parking.

Q: What are we building?

A:  We are building a 750 seat sanctuary and expanded parking.

Q: Where will the new building go?

A:  Imagine the new building starting right outside the front main entrance at the edge of the sidewalk and extending east to the edge of the parking lot.

Q: What will happen to our current building?

A:  Our current building will be renovated to accommodate present and future children and teens ministries as well as a Greatjoy Bookshop expansion.  Conference and meeting rooms will also be provided.

Q: How long will this take?

A:  We anticipate breaking ground in spring or early summer of 2006 and believe the completion to be approximately late fall of this year.

A:  The Making Room Capital Campaign will run for 18 months:  June 11, 2006, through December 2007.

Q: What is our first goal?

A:  Our first goal is to have 100% participation from those that consider JCC to be their home church by supporting this campaign with their faith, prayers, and finances.

Q: What can I do to help?

A:  You can help by praying and giving above and beyond your tithe.
