| History of Joy Christian Center |
Joy Christian Center is
comprised of people from many different religious, social, and cultural
backgrounds. Even so, we have all found a common bond in our commitment to Jesus
Christ.
On July 14, 1991, Joy Christian Center
began with this Scripture:
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it
doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we
shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2 (KJV)
In 1991, there were many things that we
"didn't know", but we listed several things that we had confidence God wanted us
to become as a church. Today we are catching a glimpse of what we "shall be:"

- Joy Christian Center has become
a place where quality ministry to children and teens is being carried out.
- Joy Christian Center has become a place of
joyful praise and worship.
- Joy Christian Center has become a place of excellence, where
quality ministry is carried out and people are accepted and loved where they
are.
- Joy Christian Center has become a place where the Word of God
is taught in a relevant, fun, and practical way.
