At Joy Christian Center we view our church as a bridge. Paul tells us in Ephesians 4 that the church is responsible to equip people for the work of the ministry. We view what we do as a B.R.I.D.G.E. Recognizing that people are all at different levels of growing and faith we've designed this process with you in mind.
B-BRINGING
The B represents bringing. The thought is, what brings you to this church? It could be a invitation from a friend, an ad that you may have seen or heard, or a personal crisis in life. Whatever it is that brings you to Joy Christian Center is we view that as the beginning or our responsibility to you.
R-RETAINING
The R is for retaining. Our goal is not to have you come one time, but to be so blessed that you'll want to keep coming back. We believe in excellence. Excellence has been defined as the gradual result of always striving to do better. We strive to do what we do so well that you'll want to come back every week.
I-INCORPORATIING
Not only do we want you to enjoy Joy Christian Center we want you to be involved with the life of this church. One of the most rewarding things in life is be involved with a team of people working together to accomplish something bigger than themselves. The gifts and talents God has placed within you are His gift to you, but what you do with them and become because of them is your gift back to God.
D-DISCIPLING
As a family church teaching people to reach their world, one of the most important aspects of our church is the teaching of God's Word. We know that as people learn and are discipled by God's Word, it will give depth to them personally but also breadth to the church. One of the ways that we accomplish this is through Joy School of Ministry.
G -GOING
What good is learning if you never do anything with what you learn? Jesus said, Go into all the world and make disciples. The ultimate goal of a disciple is to be able to reproduce themselves in others. The "Go Ye" is the ultimate objective to the BRIDGE as well as the intended desire of the JCC vision in fulfilling the great commission.
E-EQUIPPING
A person who is equipped stands ready and is prepared to minister to the needs of others. The BRIDGE is a process of growth that will help people to become all that God wants them to become.
Where are you at on the BRIDGE?
