We Believe

We Believe In One God
God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

We Believe Jesus Christ Is The Son of God
…who became incarnate and was born of a virgin, being truly God and truly man.

We Believe In The Bible
…in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.

We Believe In Man's Fall & Redemption
Man was made in the likeness of God, but through Adam, sin came into the world.  Jesus gave His life and shed His blood to redeem mankind.

We Believe In The New Birth & Eternal Life
The new birth is necessary to all men and, when experienced, produces eternal life.

We Believe In Water Baptism
…a direct command of our Lord, for believers only, by immersion in water.

We Believe In The Baptism Of The Holy Ghost
…as distinct from the New Birth and evidenced by speaking with other tongues.

We Believe In Divine Healing
…provided for and wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and laying on of hands.

We Believe In The Return of Jesus To The Earth
…as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to rule for one thousand years.

JCC Mission Statement

"A Family Church Teaching People To Reach Their World."

A Family Church . . .
Joy Christian Center is a family church that ministers to the whole family.  We provide concentrated, structured teaching for all ages.  It is practical, biblical teaching that is age appropriate.  Our vision is to build upon what is taught in the Christian home.  Our vision is to build a united church family made up of many individual families by offering learning, ministry, and social opportunities that promote fellowship and unity in the body of Christ.
Teaching People . . .
Joy Christian Center is committed to teaching and training the saints from the Word of God.  Through weekly services as well as seminars, Heartbeats small groups, and other venues, Spirit-anointed teachers and leaders equip the body of Christ for the work of the ministry.
To Reach Their World . . .
Joy Christian Center has a heart for evangelism–locally and worldwide.  We believe that our world starts here in Central Minnesota; therefore, our first priority will always be to reach our neighbors and community.  We also reach out beyond our local area by supporting regional, national, and foreign missions and send many from our “church family” throughout the world each year.

The Future of Joy Christian Center includes

  • A call to constantly reach more people with the reality of God's Word,

  • A willingness to be innovative in our approach, never compromising the integrity of the Gospel,
  • Teaching and encouraging believers to actively participate in the Ministry of God in the great harvest field.
History of Joy Christian Center
Joy Christian Center is comprised of people from many different religious, social, and cultural backgrounds. Even so, we have all found a common bond in our commitment to Jesus Christ.

On July 14, 1991, Joy Christian Center began with this Scripture:
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."  I John 3:2 (KJV)

In 1991, there were many things that we "didn't know", but we listed several things that we had confidence God wanted us to become as a church. Today we are catching a glimpse of what we "shall be:"

  • Joy Christian Center has become a place where quality ministry to children and teens is being carried out.
  • Joy Christian Center has become a place of joyful praise and worship.
  • Joy Christian Center has become a place of excellence, where quality ministry is carried out and people are accepted and loved where they are.
  • Joy Christian Center has become a place where the Word of God is taught in a relevant, fun, and practical way.
